NO. 07 WATER MILL PRIMARY SCHOOL 19-11-2010
Please remember your photograph order needs to be back in school by Wednesday 24th November.
We have a parent hotline set up for emergency messages e.g. if the weather turns dangerous, as it did last year, and we have to close the school. The number to ring is: 08447 70 75 76
You then have to enter the school ID which is: 44681
Parents are reminded that our very small car park is for staff use only. The gates must not be blocked in case access is required for emergency vehicles. Also parents collecting from After School Club must park on the road. It is possible to park on the zig-zags except for one hour before and after school times.
This year our Christmas Plays will take place on Tuesday 14th December at 1:30 p.m. and Wednesday 15th December at 9:15 a.m. We will be sending out further information and ticket request forms at a later date.
This school spends several times the average school book budget each year on books for the classrooms and the library. Each child takes home between £5 and £10 worth of books each evening. This is a total value of approximately £1,500. At the beginning of this term we spent almost £3,000 on new fiction. It was extremely disappointing to find this week that several of these books had been torn or scribbled in. Please ensure that your children treat all school equipment and especially our lovely books with due respect.
A reminder, that your child can only be left at school after 8:45 a.m., when we have 2 members of staff on duty in the playground. Any arrivals before this time must be supervised by a parent or carer.
The office phones are manned between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. – 0121 464 7769. Please do not ring outside these times as messages may not get passed on at busy times.
The After School Club phone is manned from 3:30 until 5:30 p.m. only – 0121 464 3013
