Safeguarding

Water Mill Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child.  We want all of our children to feel safe, happy and supported.  Through our broad and balanced curriculum, we help children to recognise what makes them feel safe, understand when something may not be right, and develop the knowledge and confidence they need to keep themselves safe.  We encourage an open culture where children, parents/carers and staff feel able to share any worries or safeguarding concerns. We take all concerns seriously and will always listen and respond appropriately.

If you are worried about a child or family, please speak to Mrs Hoye, our Designated Safeguarding Lead (LDSL), or one of our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads: Mr Hill, Miss Potter or Dr Johnson.  Concerns can also be shared with us in writing.

If you need to report an urgent safeguarding concern or seek advice, you can contact the Local Authority on (0121) 303 1888.

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, please call 999.
