  • Pupil Leaders

We are incredibly proud of the responsibility that the children take for our school, some of our pupil leader roles include:

    School Council

Water Mill Primary School has a very active School Council. We are elected by our peers to share ideas about school development and activities that will help to improve our learning. We meet every week to discuss ideas and then share these with our classes. We also help to plan events such as charity events and special days.

We have an Arts ambassador and an ECO champion on our school council. Their roles are to champion these two areas in our school.

We are helping to improve our school by discussing our ‘Children’s Self Evaluation Report’ that all classes completed. We are in discussion with Mrs Rudd to see what actions can be taken to address our action points so that the school can get even better.

    House Captains

All children who join our school become members of one of our 4 houses:

    • Falcons

    • Eagles

    • Kestrels

    • Hawks

When we do PE or take part in 'House' events we wear a t-shirt representing the colour of our house team. Brothers and sisters are in the same house team and members of staff are also in the house teams. We can earn house points for trying our best with our work, for good behaviour or for showing how we are following our values and 'owlstanding' skills.

    Lunchtime Library

Year 5/6 pupils take turns to organise and monitor use of our playground library caravan. They ensure that it is kept tidy and that the children using it at lunchtime are being sensible.
