Admissions
Starting your child at school
Welcome!
I am very pleased that you are considering our school for your child. It is such an important and sometimes difficult decision to make. The one thing I would advise, as the headteacher, is to ensure you get as much information as possible about the school’s ethos and vision to help guide you through this process. Every school is unique, just like every individual child and we can help you understand what makes our school special.
Usually, parents like to contact the school office and arrange a tour of the school. I really enjoy this part of my job as I get to show members of the community all the amazing learning activities we provide on a day-to-day basis. Mrs Culwick, our Office Manager, will find a mutually convenient time in my diary or leave a message for me to contact you directly. At this point, we can explore any questions you might have and I can give you the most recent admissions paperwork.
The admissions policy can be found in our policy section and below is a link to Birmingham City Council admissions website that we hope you will find useful. You can also read the latest Ofsted report and our performance data in the 'Key Information' section.
If you wish to apply for a place in reception for your child in September, please use the link at the bottom of this page, as Birmingham City Council are responsible for Reception admissions. For other year group admissions please contact the school and our office staff will be able to help you. We follow the admissions criteria set out by Birmingham City Council. If we are full in the year group for your child then we can place your name on our waiting list. If you wish to appeal for a place then you can do so by following the link at the bottom of this page.
We run Open Evenings throughout the year for prospective parents. However, you are always welcome to make an appointment as myself or a member of my team will be happy to show you around.
If you feel this section of the website is lacking anything please let us know- your feedback helps us to improve.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
