The staff at Water Mill are our most valuable resource and as such we value all that they do for our pupils and each other. Our staff care about the education that they provide and about our pupils.
Our small, friendly community is welcoming and supportive. It is also a fun place to work because our pupils are so delightful and because we are always looking for new ideas and activities to further develop teaching and learning. We enjoy getting involved with various projects and research and enriching the children's education through these.
All of our staff receive regular in house training and are also offered access to quality training from other providers. All middle and senior leaders are given the opportunity to further develop their qualifications through NPQ training.
Subject leaders receive subject specific training and professional support through Consortiums and the Birmingham Education Partnership. We also have support from our local Maths and Literacy Hubs. Subject leaders are members of local networks where they gain valuable advice, and share ideas and research to develop their subjects even further.
All of our leaders are specialists in their own subject areas and have worked with staff to develop a bespoke curriculum for our school. They offer peer to peer support for other staff through team teaching, mentoring and coaching.
We are all proud to be members of staff at Water Mill Primary School.
We are given and give creative opportunities to make learning fun and memorable.
We respect and care for each other and always act with integrity.
We all believe that 'Anything is Possible'.
