Harborne Reservoir
Harborne Mill and mill pool pre-dated Harborne Reservoir by hundreds of years.
The reservoir was constructed as a holding pool to conserve and distribute water for the mills alongside, and fed by, the Bourn Brook.
This was required after the construction of the Dudley canal (sometimes known as the Netherton Canal) took the water essential for the mills to function.
